In December 2014, a Tsunami Remembrance and Community Fellowship Programme was held in Komari in partnership with PCAG Komari. The programme brought together children, youth and families from Komari and surrounding villages to remember the hardship experienced after the 2004 tsunami, while creating a space for hope, fellowship and encouragement during the Christmas season.
The event included Christmas choir activities, children’s activities, community participation and meals served to those who attended. It reflected the continuing relationship with the Komari community and the desire to support healing, unity and hope through practical service and community engagement.
