Rural Eye Care, Health Care Clinics & Cataract Support

The clinics listed below represent RHF’s most established community work to date. They were conducted in remote and under-served communities where many people had limited access to eye care, spectacles and specialist medical advice.

These programmes typically included community registration, visual acuity checks, eye examinations by the ophthalmologist and medical team, issuing reading glasses where suitable, identifying patients who required prescription spectacles, and facilitating cataract surgery support through partner networks. Selected health clinics also extended support to general medical consultation, skin-related concerns and children’s health needs.
